PSF is participating in the Covel D. Searcy’s Partners In Education Program.
Searcy Elementary sixth grade students received a presentation from Premium Standard Farms’ director Darian Rutherford. Mr. Rutherford demonstrated how his company tests for pollutants in our air, soil and water. He also explained how the no-till and organic farming techniques are saving our rural environment. Students experimented with chocolate and vanilla cookies to demonstrate the significance of crop rotation. Mr. Rutherford stressed the importance of further education and the variety of career opportunities offered by his company. PSF is participating in the Covel D.
