A Kansas City, Kan., man was taken by Daviess County Ambulance to Cameron Community Hospital with minor injuries after a one-vehicle accident early Monday on I-35 in Daviess County.
The accident occurred at 1:30 a.m. on May 15 as Edward H. Walton, 56, was northbound on I- 35, 14 miles north of Cameron, driving a 1997 Pontiac.
The Highway Patrol report states Walton, who was wearing a seat belt, apparently fell asleep and drove off the left side of the road into the median. He then overcorrected and the vehicle crossed the highway, went off the right side of the road, overturned, and came to rest on its top.
The accident was investigated by Cpl. Jeffrey H. Thompson, assisted by Tpr. P.M. Kimball.
