The FCCLA Chapter held their annual Recognition Night Banquet on April 12, 2000. The night started out with the Summary of this Year’s Events and Activities. Roxi Davitt and Terri Rainey gave this presentation.
Jamie Burnett awarded the STAR Event participants for their hard work throughout the year. Rebecca Stith awarded those who participated in the Five Power of One modules. The five Power of One modules are: A Better You, Family Ties, Working on Working, Take the Lead, and Speak Out for FCCLA.
Participating in A Better You category were Jamie Burnett, Rochelle Davitt, Amanda Bohannon and Whitney Wright. Working on Working participants were Courtney Houghton, Rebecca Stith and Jamie Burnett. Family Ties participants were Jamie Burnett and Rochelle Davitt. Take the Lead members were Rebecca Stith and Amanda Boyd. Speak Out for FCCLA participants were Allison Spidle, Rebecca Stith and Jamie Lunsford. Roxi Davitt, Katie Ward and Keira Story participated in all Five Power of One modules.
Courtney Houghton awarded the Outstanding Member of each class. The Outstanding Members were: freshman – Jamie Lunsford; sophomore – Kim Clevenger; juniors – Amanda Boyd and Jamie Burnett; and senior – Courtney Houghton. The Outstanding Member of the 1999-2000 FCCLA Chapter was Courtney Houghton.
The 1999-2000 Chapter parents were recognized for their participating in the chapter throughout the year. Kim Clevenger and Laura McCann recognized the seniors. After the Senior Recognition all the senior members participated in a short skit about all the memories they have had throughout their participation in the chapter.
To conclude the meeting the 2000-2001 new officers were installed. Officers are: Jamie Burnett, president; Kayli Burrell, first vice-president; Roxi Davitt, second vice-president; Katie Ward, secretary; Keira Story, treasurer; Rochelle Davitt, reporter; Jamie Freeman, parliamentarian; Jamie Lunsford, region II second vice-president; and Kamille Burrell, region II parliamentarian.
FCCLA Outstanding Members are Kim Clevenger, Katie Ward, Jamie Lunsford, Jamie Burnett, Amanda Boyd and Courtney Houghton.[Submitted Photo]
