Gallatin’s Board of Aldermen met in special session May 15 to continue discussion on a street improvement program.
Board members met with Andy Macias and Troy Culver of Midland Engineering to outline the scope of the project, to identify specifications, to begin cost estimates and to discuss other related topics. Midland Engineering is expected to provide a revised estimate of costs for the next meeting of the aldermen set for 6 p.m. May 22 at city hall.
Aldermen in attendance were Robert Snidow, Norma Griffin, Larry Barnes, Shonna Morrison and Mayor L.B. Davis along with city administrator Jason Helton and city attorney Bill Lewis. Prior to the hour long meeting with engineers, the aldermen met for a half hour in a session closed to the public to discuss legal action and litigation.
