Members of the Gallatin Chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America participated in “Leadership Unlimited” a leadership and public speaking training for local, regional and state FCCLA officers. Over 2000 student leaders and their advisors participated in the training held March 19, 20, 21.
Program facilitators Rhett Laubach and Casey Kennedy from Oklahoma City, Okla., provided a high energy and interactive workshop, where students developed and improved teamwork and leadership skills. The officers also learned techniques to improve their public speaking and meeting management skills through hands-on practice.
Family, Career & Community Leaders of America is a dynamic and effective national student organization that helps young men and women become leaders and address important personal, family, work and societal issues through family and consumer sciences education. The organization has involved more than nine million youth since its founding in 1945.
FCCLA is unique among student organizations because its programs are planned and run by members. It is the only national in-school organization with the family as its central focus. Participation in national programs and chapter activities helps members become strong leaders in their families, careers, and communities.
