The Missouri Department of Transportation has announced that concrete deterioration on Interstate 35 will necessitate the immediate closing of the southbound driving lane at the Route 13 interchange (86 mile marker) in Harrison County for a distance of approximately 0.75 mile.

The pavement affected is part of a material test section which failed. Preliminary repairs are scheduled to begin this week, weather permitting, but the lane will remain closed until the driving surface is completely repaired. No date for completion has been set.

The traveling public is advised to obey all signs and drive with caution in all work zones, especially where workers are present.
