In a recent Healthy Communities forum, a concern was raised about the amount of trash and debris along the streets of Gallatin and the surrounding areas. The Gallatin Area Revitalization Alliance is organizing a “Gallatin Beautification Day” to unite all organizations in our community to help with this beautification project. Through this effort the group hopes to not only remove the trash and debris but also to create a sense of pride in the community.

Beautification Day will be on May 6, 2000, from 9-11 a.m. Please meet at Dockery Park. The day will end with a hot dog roast at the park. Your participation is important to the success of this project. It is hoped that if you cannot help with the pickup, you will support the effort through donations of hot dogs, chips, pop or other contributions. If you have any questions or concerns please call Darren Adkins at 663-2249 or Vicki Corwin at 663-3008.

Everyone’s commitment and time to this project is very much appreciated.
