Funeral services for Kathleen Miller, mother of Louise Bird of Gallatin, were held Monday, April 24, at the Roberson Funeral Home in Bethany. Burial was at Masonic Cemetery, Gilman City. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gilman City Cemetery Association in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 46, Bethany, 64424.

Kathleen May Miller, 77, Gilman City, died Thursday, April 20, 2000, at a Bethany hospital.

Mrs. Miller was born in Saskatchewan, Canada. She was a graduate of the New Hampton High School. She became a naturalized American citizen in 1983.

Mrs. Miller was a homemaker and a seamstress.

She was member and treasurer of the American Legion Auxiliary, Gilman City; member of the New Hope United Methodist Church; and member and treasurer of the Gilman City United Methodist Church.

On June 21, 1943, she married Charles William Miller. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include four other daughters, Terry Francis, Clarinda, Iowa, Janet Mailou, Cameron, Ruth Hager, Chillicothe, and Kathryn Keithley, Hong Kong; three sons, Kent and Richard, both of St. Joseph, and John, Downey, Calif.; one brother, Russell Magee, New Hampton; one sister, Mildred Crabtree, Silverton, Ore.; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
