Rose’s Sweet Shop, owned by John and Rose Rogers, expects to be opened at its new location southwest of the square by May 1. The Rogers will move from their present site, over the Easter break, into the building formerly housing Stan’s Tire Shop.
The building, owned by Lloyd Webb, has required some over-all painting, re-wiring, and plumbing to install the kitchen sinks.
The building will offer more room for the catering service. Everything in the garage has been taken out and the space will serve as a storage area and also allow the Rogers to back in the van for catering jobs.
Rose’s Sweet Shop will offer the same catering services. Rose plans a new feature for this summer – hard ice cream and a place for patrons to sit outside at picnic tables.
“It’s a good move,” said Mrs. Rogers. “We’re looking forward to it.”
