The 1999-2000 journalism staff at Gallatin High School sponsors a “Teacher of the Month” and two “Student of the Month” awards. One teacher, one junior high student, and one high school student are selected each month.
Adam Strein is our Gallatin Junior High Student of the Month for March. Adam participates in football, wrestling, basketball, track, and Science Olympiad. He is the son of Denny and Beth Strein of Gallatin.
The GHS March Student of the Month is Phillip Wilson. Phillip is an honor roll student who participates in FCCLA, Spanish Club and choir. After graduation, Phillip plans to attend college and work at a radio station. He is the son of Linda and Larry Wilson of Gallatin.
Our March Teacher of the Month is Mrs. Pam Critten. Mrs. Critten has been teaching for seven years, but this is her first year at Gallatin. She received a BS degree in Psychology from CMSU in Warrensburg and a BS degree in secondary education, majoring in English and social studies, from MWSC in St. Joseph. She and her husband, Kevin, have three children, Kelly, Kristin and Kase.
