Ron and Vicki Burns, Gallatin, announce the engagement of their daughter, Erin Burns, to James Cornell, son of Bob and Selma Cornell, Harrisonville. The bride-elect is a 1998 graduate of Central Missouri State University with a double major in hotel and restaurant administration and tourism. She is currently employed as an account executive at Worlds of Fun. The groom-to-be is a 1998 graduate of Central Missouri State University with a degree in recreation. He is currently employed as a recreation supervisor with the Harrisonville Parks and Recreation Department.
