The 1980 Jameson Huskies basketball team was among the champions recognized Saturday during the Show-Me Showdown II games at the Hearnes Center at the University of Missouri in Columbia.
The Huskies, coached by the late Frank Cox to a 31-1 record, finished third in Class 1A competition. Cox’s widow Debbie (at right) gives a thumbs-up to Kenny Holdsworth for the poster salute during introductions of all 1980 teams which competed in the state finals. Those able to attend the anniversary salute for Jameson, standing left to right, were Administrator Cliff Agenstein, Tom Feurt (partially hidden), Kenny Holdsworth, John Agenstein, Terry McNeely, Frank Wheeler, Dennis Croy, John Holdsworth and Debbie Henry. Unable to attend were Clint Snyder, Jack Prindle, Mike Franks and Tony Hogan.
Honorees retired to a room for photographs and refreshments before returning to watch the basketball games underway.
