Eighteen students from Gallatin R-5 High School traveled to the campus of Northwest Missouri State University at Maryville on Tuesday, March 14, and competed with nearly 350 students from 19 schools in District One in various events.

Placing from Gallatin and qualifying for state competition on Columbia April 16-18 are:

Ida Jarboe, Business Plan Project, 1st; Stacy Craig, Business Procedures, 1st; Brook Carder, Intro to Impromptu Speaking, 1st; Andy Weldon, Job Interview, 1st; Ida Jarboe, Public Speaking, 1st; Stacy Craig, Machine Transcription, 1st.

Others students placing were Shannon Batson, Andy Weldon and Jamie Burnett, Entrepreneurship Team, 2nd; Trent Dowell, Kara Sullenger, Rochelle Davitt, Shannon Batson and Jamie Burnett, Parliamentary Procedure Team, 2nd; Mackenzie Riley, Intro to Business Communications, 3rd; Amanda Bohannon, Intro to Parliamentary Procedures, 3rd; Mackenzie Riley, Business Math, 6th.
