Sixteen members attended the March meeting of the Daviess County Business Women’s Association. Rose’s Sweet Shop catered our dinner with hostesses Norma Griffin and Mary Virginia Croy decorating the tables in traditional St. Patrick’s Day colors. Frankie Ward was our program guest for the evening. She shared details of her teaching career, told us of poems and books she has written and published. Some of her works were accepted to the Library of Congress. Frankie organizes a monthly program at the Gallatin Senior Center. Our group held a short business meeting with discussion concerning the upcoming scholarship award and we will be giving gift certificate to area schools to help with their junior-senior proms. April meeting date is the 11th.
