Funeral services for Lucille Johnson were held at 1:30 p.m, March 15, 2000, at Bram Funeral Home in Gallatin. Burial was at Pilot Grove #1 Cemetery, near Jamesport. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
Mary Lucille (Bartlett) Johnson, 84, Gallatin, formerly of Jamesport, died Saturday, March 11, 2000, at the Daviess County Care Center in Gallatin.
Mrs. Johnson, a homemaker, was born on the family farm south of Gilman City. She attended rural schools near Gilman City and graduated valedictorian from the Gilman City High School. She was a life-long resident of Daviess County. She moved to Jamesport in 1978, and to the Daviess County Care Center on March 23, 1990.
In 1934, she married Edward W. Johnson at Gilman City. Mrs. Johnson and her husband farmed all of their married lives west of Jamesport in Daviess County. He died on Oct. 2, 1978.
Mrs. Johnson was also preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene and Thurman Bartlett; and one sister, Helen Arthaud.
Survivors include one son, Danny G. Johnson, New Canaan, Conn.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
