“A love of reading is the greatest educational gift you can give your children,” says Mary Leonhardt, author of – 99 Ways to Get Your Kids to Love Reading and 100 Books They’ll Love. Our scholastic book fair, which starts in just a few days, is a great way to give this gift to your child. The annual CDS Elementary Book Fair begins on Friday, March 10, and will run through Friday, March 17. The fair features books for preschool through ninth grade.
The fair will be located in the elementary library. Hours will be from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily. We will have extended hours during parent teacher conferences. Thursday March 16, we will be open until 6:30 p.m. and on Friday we will be open from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
Since we will be open during P/T conferences, we hope you will take the opportunity to visit the fair with your child. If you send money to school with your child to buy books, please remember to include a little extra for sales tax. Remember, books make great gifts for Easter!
All profits from the book fair are used to purchase new books for the library.
