Lucie Hellen (Fitzgerald) Huffman Boyer, age 88, of Gallatin, died Tuesday, February 22, 2000, at Daviess County Care Center, Gallatin.
Mrs. Boyer was born October 1, 1911, in DeKalb County, MO. She graduated from Cameron High School in 1929.
Mrs. Boyer was a homemaker and had resided in the area till 1958, then moving to Carlsbad, NM. She then moved back to Gallatin in 1999.
On June 28, 1952, Mrs. Lucie H. Huffman was united in holy matrimony with Mr. Ralph E. Boyer in Hamilton, MO. He preceded her in death on August 17, 1969.
Mrs. Boyer was of the Christian faith.
Mrs. Boyer was also preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Flora (Carmichael) Fitzgerald; a step-daughter, Norma Lloyd and an infant brother.
Survivors include her son, Paul Richard Huffman of Tishomingo, OK; two daughters, Doris Albrecht of Gallatin, MO and Bonnie Sue Fields of Aurora, IL; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 24, 2000, at 1:30 p.m., at the Hope-Eldringhoff Funeral Home, Gallatin. There will be no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call after 5 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home till 8 p.m., then from 8 a.m. till service time Thursday. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Gallatin.
