Mrs. Litton will celebrate her 90th birthday on February 22. She is the wife of the late Charley Litton and the mother of the late Jerry Litton, who served in the U.S. Congress and who won the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate from Missouri before his untimely death in a private airplane crash near Chillicothe on the night of August 1976 primary election. Charley Litton died in 1980. The Litton family and the Litton Foundation have been major contributors to the city of Chillicothe, the Chillicothe R-II School District, FFA, and the ag-science learning center in Chillicothe as well as other projects such as the Grand River Area YMCA and the Green Hills public golf course and other fund-raising events.
During her nine decades, Mildred Litton has made more friends than she can possibly count. She would be thrilled to see each of you from not only throughout Northwest Missouri but the entire state. She has lived her entire life in Daviess and Livingston counties.

Those not able to attend the public event from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. may send her a card at P.O. Box 695, Chillicothe, MO 64601.
The 90th birthday celebration is being hosted by Ed and Lois Turner, Bonnie and Ray Mitchell and Mary Ellen Valbracht. Mr. Turner, Mrs. Mitchell and Mrs. Valbracht are members of the Litton Foundation board.
