Funeral services for Lloyd Wilson, brother of Virgil of Gallatin, were held Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2000, at Prairie View Baptist Church. Arrangements were by Garner Funeral Home, Monroe City. Burial was in Prairie View Cemetery.

Lloyd Vernon Wilson, 84, died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2000, at Monroe City Manor Care Center, where he was a resident for two months suffering from a brain tumor.

Mr. Wilson was born in Pattonsburg. He was a graduate of Civil Bend High School. He had lived in Shelby County since 1940.

Mr. Wilson was a farmer, stockman and harness maker.

Mr. Wilson was a member of Prairie View Church and served on the cemetery board. He was a horse puller for 42 years and a member of the horse pullers association.

On Sept. 8, 1940, he married Mary Agnes Caldwell. She survives of the home.

Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale and Bobby Wilson.

Other survivors include one daughter, Mary Louise of Maywood; one son, Kenny Wilson of the home; another brother, Gordon Wilson of St. Joseph; six grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren.
