Two new memorial books have been placed in the Daviess County Library. Indians and Archaeology of Missouri by Carl H. and Eleanor F. Chapman is in memory of Alvan Berry by the Darrell Hamilton family of Kimberling City. This is a University of Missouri publication which gives and excellent introduction to the cultural development of Missouri’s Indians during the past 12 thousand years.

The Greatest Generation Speaks by Tom Brokaw is given by Ann and Gene Schweizer in memory of Jewell Hemry. This is letters and reflections he received in response to his earlier book, The Greatest Generation. It is stories and wisdom from that generation and time. Both books are a wonderful addition to the library non-fiction collection. Stop by soon and check-out one of these fine titles.
