Graveside service and burial for Harvey Teel, a former resident of Pattonsburg, were held Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2000 at Mount Ayr Cemetery in Altamont. Arrangements were by Poland- Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron. Memorial contributions may be sent to Crossroads Hospice, Kansas City.
Harvey G. Teel, 81, Kansas City, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2000, at his home.
Mr. Teel was born in Pattonsburg. He attended Daviess County School.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
Mr. Teel was an egg and poultry quality control inspector for the U.S. Department of Agriculture for seven years.
He was a member of Crab Orchid Baptist Church, Civil Bend.
Mr. Teel was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and Ted; three sisters, Beryl Schartz, Margaret Stapp and Bertie Brown; and two grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Opal, of the home; a son, C.A., Gladstone; two step daughters, Joe Sanders and Sandy Schaefer, both of Kansas City; two grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren.
