Gallatin Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution met Jan. 12, 2000, at the home of Nancy Terry with 11 members present. During the meeting Betty Huffman reported on the American History Essays from county schools and Nancy Terry updated the Chapter on Good Citizens from the high schools. Final preparations were made for the Annual Presidents Day Tea to be held Feb. 9 in Fellowship Hall at the First Baptist Church at 1 p.m. as the Chapter looks forward to honoring outstanding students of Daviess County. Following the business meeting Beverly Ward presented the program, “The Faith of Some of Our Presidents,” and the hostess served refreshments.
