The Lady Warriors stole Gallatin’s fast break opportunities, themselves converting often in 2-on-1 and 3-on-2 situations. The Lady Bulldogs found themselves at a distinct height disadvantage and found it hard to consistently keep 6-2 Crystal Holbrook and 5- 11 Catie Holbrook away from the bucket. The Lady Warrior cashed in 26 times from inside the paint.
Gallatin committed 21 turnovers to Smithville’s 6. The Lady Bulldogs, who scored only 5 field goals in the 2nd half, grabbed only 7 of their 23 rebounds on the offensive end of the floor.
Roxi Davitt came off the bench to spark Gallatin with 10 points. Shannon Batson added 8.
Guards Callie Langdon and Valerie Summa led the Lady Warriors with 18 and 15 points, respectively. Crystal Holbrook added 14.
