The Gallatin R-5 Board of Education will convene its January meeting at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 13 at the high school building. Agenda topics include a presentation by Debbie Sweatman concerning reading recovery; summer school plans; program needs for 2000-2001; budget and financial reports and discussion on the DARE program.
Other topics include specifications for a bus purchase and an update on UNICOM, working toward a board decision in February. The board will also discuss policy on the penalty for breaking a contract and the ISS building lease. The position of school superintendent will be evaluated and discussion on a contract will be conducted in a session closed to the public.
