Graveside services and burial for James Spiers, formerly of Pattonsburg, were held Thursday, Dec. 30, 1999, at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens, San Angelo, Texas, with military rites. Arrangements were by Johnson Funeral Home, San Angelo.
James E. “Jimmy” Spiers, 61, San Angelo, Texas, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999, at a hospital in San Angelo.
Mr. Spiers was born in Pattonsburg. He graduated from North Platte High School in Dearborn.
Mr. Spiers served in the Air Force until retiring.
He also worked for the Goodyear Proving Grounds in San Angelo.
Mr. Spiers was preceded in death by a brother, Paul.
Survivors include his wife, the former Sharon K. Millard of the home; a daughter, Theresa K. Brown, Iraan, Texas; a son, James E. Jr., San Angelo; two brothers, Kelly, Edgerton, and Don, Gower; six sisters, Ella Hackett and Donna Mullendore, both of Dearborn, Darlene Amos, Agency, and Mary Lanham, Ruth Nelson and Sharon Crowder, all of Edgerton; and a grandchild.
