Boyd E. Feurt, age 96, Jameson, Missouri, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999, at a St. Joseph hospital.
Mr. Feurt was born October 11, 1903, in Jameson, Missouri. He spent most of his life in that town. He attended and graduated from Jameson High School and later the Chillicothe Business College He resided and spent most of his life as a livestock farmer in Daviess County.
In November of 1930 Boyd E. Feurt was united in holy matrimony with Genevieve Aid of Gallatin, Missouri. She preceded him in death on July 16, 1994.
Mr. Feurt was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gallatin, Missouri. He also served fifteen years on the Jameson School Board.
Mr. Feurt was also preceded in death by his parents, Cort and Ella (Everly) Feurt; three brothers, Marvin, William Homer and Cort Jr.; and two sisters, Hortense Alexander and Elizabeth Hamilton.
Survivors include one son, Stephen and his wife Mary of St. Joseph; two granddaughters, Julie Riggs of St. Joseph, Missouri, and Pamela Wheeler of Blue Springs, Missouri; three great- grandsons, Jordan Jameson Wheeler, Dylan Feurt Riggs and Brooks Stephen Wheeler.
Funeral services were held Friday, December 31, at 2:30 p.m. at the Hope-Eldringhoff Funeral Home, Gallatin. Interment was in the Grand River Cemetery, Jameson. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Gallatin or of Jameson in care of the funeral home, 201 S. Market, Gallatin, MO 64640. Services were under the direction of the Hope-Eldringhoff Funeral Home, Gallatin, Missouri.
