Daviess County neighbors chance meeting at Niagara Falls, NY.
This is a photograph of Daviess County neighbors taken in October at Niagara Falls, NY, while waiting to board the Maid of the Mist excursion boat. The two separate families were not only unaware that their vacation trips were to coincide, but neither actually knew the other beyond casual acquaintance. Odds were against the chance meeting since different excursion boats departed every 15 minutes. And yet, a reunion was struck, starting with the salutation “I know you… you worked at the Publishing Company in Gallatin!” Experiencing Niagara Falls together last fall were Tom and Karen Rogers and daughter, Kaitie, and Bob and Judy Collins.
