Funeral service for Lillian Jolley, stepmother of Jennie Heyer of Winston, were held Saturday, Dec. 18, 1999, at Bailey Funeral Home, Polo. Burial was at Prairie Ridge Cemetery, Polo.

Lillian Maxine (Lavelock) Holt Jolley, 71, Polo, died Thursday, Dec. 16, 1999, at her residence.

Mrs. Jolley was born in Tina.

Mrs. Jolley worked for the Social Security Administration in Independence, , until retiring in August of 1999.

She was of the Baptist faith.

In 1953, she married Lawrence Holt. He died in 1967. Then in March of 1979, she married James D. Jolley Jr. He survives of the home.

Mrs. Jolley also was preceded in death by three grandchildren.

Other survivors include four sons, Roger, David, Wayne and Steve Holt, all of Polo; a stepson, James Jolley, Chesapeake, Va.; a daughter, Pat Holmes, Stover, Mo.; five other stepdaughters, JoAnn Swearingin, Carrollton, Mo., Rebecca Patrick, Stewartsville, Mo., and Linda Holt, Mary Vogel and Lois Rider, all of Maysville, Mo.; a brother, Mervin Lavelock, Carrollton; three stepbrothers, Merlin Hicks, Henrietta, Mo., and Dean and Jimmy J. Hicks, both of Polo; a sister, Marjorie Covell, Oak Grove, Mo.; two half sisters, Jolene Greentree, Oregon state, and Jeanie Wells, Gladstone, Mo.; 31 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
