Graveside services and burial for Leslie Lowrey were held Sunday, Dec. 5, 1999, at Pattonsburg Memorial Garden, with arrangements by Roberson Funeral Home.

Leslie Roy Lowrey, New Albany, died Nov. 30, 1999.

Mr. Lowrey lived near Pattonsburg. He attended rural Bardrick Grade School and graduated from Pattonsburg High School.

Mr. Lowrey, a farmer, entered the Army during World War Two and served for almost five years.

He was a former member of the Heath United Methodist Church.

On April 15, 1947, he married Roma Camp in Jeffersonville, Ind. They continued living in the Jeffersonville and New Albany, Ind., area. In later years, Mr. and Mrs. Lowrey lived in the Providence Retirement Home in New Albany. She died on July 17, 1995.

Mr. Lowrey was preceded in death by one brother, Lester, and two sisters, Maurine and Opal May, all who died in infancy.

Survivors include one son, Donald, Urbanna, Va.; and two brothers, Delbert and Dallas, both of Pattonsburg.
