Funeral services for Forestine Berry, a native of Winston, were held Monday at Meierhoffer Family Funeral Service, St. Joseph. Burial was at Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to the Hands of Hope Hospice in St. Joseph.
Forestine L. (Lee) Berry, 85, St. Joseph died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 1999, at a St. Joseph hospital after a brief illness.
Mrs. Berry was born in Winston. She resided in St. Joseph since 1936.
She was a member of Wyatt Park Baptist Church, where she was active in Keen-Agers.
O n April 11, 1936, she married Raymond C. Berry. He died in 1993.
Mrs. Berry was also preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Swindler; and eight brothers, Vinton, Fred, Alvah, Cecil, Glenn, Frank, Harold and Merwin Lee.
Survivors include a daughter, Sue A Whitehead, St. Joseph; a son, Robert A., Fridley, Minn.; two sisters, Alta Collier, Gallatin, and Juanita Thompson, Porterville, Calif.; a brother, George Lee, Jameson; and four grandchildren.
