The Pattonsburg area is actively seeking to form a Chamber of Commerce. The group is looking for participation from area businesses, individuals with past business experience, and individuals willing to make a difference.

The goals of the Chamber of Commerce will include developing businesses, jobs, and enhancing the lives of the Pattonsburg community and surrounding areas.
A dozen members have already joined the Chamber and started up an economic development committee. A meeting has been set up with Phil Tate of the Economic Development Committee. More committees with a focus on different activities are expected to be formed in the future.
“We’re hoping to put something together as a package to offer the entire area, not just the city of Pattonsburg,” said Greg Brown. “We’d like to keep our young people here. It’s a shame to see our youth graduate and have to move to the city to work.”
Regular meeting dates are set up as the second Tuesday of each month at 2 p.m. Anyone interested in joining is welcome. Call 367-4329 for more information.
