Graveside services and burial were held Sunday at the Roberson Funeral Home in Pattonsburg. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Pattonsburg Memorial Gardens and be left at the funeral home.
Leslie R. Lowrey, 85, New Albany, Indiana, died Nov. 30, 1999, at a health care center in New Albany, Ind.
Mr. Lowrey, a farmer, was born in Pattonsburg. He served in the Army during World War II and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans organization. He was also a former member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Jeffersonville, Ind.
He married the former Roma Camp. She died in July of 1995.
Mr. Lowery was also preceded in death by one brother, Lester; and two sisters, Maurine and Opal.
Survivors include a son, Don of Urbanna, Va.; two brothers, Delbert and Dallas, both of Pattonsburg.
