More than 250,000 men have registered with Selective Service using the Internet since the program’s inauguration exactly one year ago. Agency officials say on-line registrations now account for about one quarter of incoming registrations.

Dec. 2, 1999, marks the first anniversary of the Selective Service System’s popular Internet registration program. Its start-up received worldwide press coverage last year.
