Ned Snyder
Funeral services for Ned Snyder, brother of Nelle Scott of Lake Viking, were held Tuesday, Nov. 23, at Hamilton Federated Church, with arrangements by Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton. Burial was at Highland Cemetery, Hamilton. Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
Ned Leonard Snyder, 73, Hamilton, died Nov. 29, 1999, at a Liberty hospital.
Mr. Snyder was born in Hamilton and lived in the area his entire life. He was a graduate of Penney High School and the University of Wisconsin School of Banking.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
Mr. Snyder started in the banking business in 1946 and retired as president and CEO of the Hamilton Bank in 1988. He served as chairman of the bank until 1991.
Mr. Snyder was a member of the American Legion, Lions Club, United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge, Penney Museum Memorial Board and Hamilton Development Committee, all of Hamilton. He was a member of the Missouri Bankers Association and the Bank Administration Institute.On June 23, 1946, he married Erma Ehlers in Hamilton. She survives of the home.
Mr. Snyder was preceded in death by two sisters, Lois McCrary and Betty J. Curp.
Other survivors include two sons, Larry of Hamilton and Randy of St. Louis; and five grandchildren
