Bessie Lear, 104, Gallatin, died Nov. 13, at a hospital in Cameron. She was a former Pattonsburg resident.

Funeral services for Bessie Lear were held today (Wednesday), Nov. 17, at the First Baptist Church in Gallatin. Arrangements were by Roberson Funeral Home, Pattonsburg. Burial was at Savage Cemetery, Pattonsburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, Gallatin.
Bessie Mae Lear, 104, Gallatin, formerly of Pattonsburg, died Nov. 13, 1999, at a Cameron hospital.
Mrs. Lear was born October 25, 1895.
Mrs. Lear was a housewife. She was also a care giver in her own home for other people until the age of 91.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Gallatin.
In 1926, she married Albert Lear. He died on Aug. 9, 1965.
Mrs. Lear was also preceded in death by two brothers, John and Buster Lovejoy; and one sister, Cindy Cade.
Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Lamma, Gallatin, and Ica Uthe, Winston; one son, Clarence Lear, Charlotte, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great- grandchildren.
