McFall Junior Service Club
The McFall Junior Service Club played an active part in their community on Saturday, Oct. 23, when they participated in “Making a Difference Day.” For their service project the chapter chose to deliver stamps and/or stationery to elderly people of the community. This allowed for the young people to visit the citizens of the community and also present them with a gift. Chapter leaders Jeanette Sprague and Julie Lupfer accompanied the group. Following the project, prizes were awarded to Jared Lupfer, Bradyn Gardner, Tyler Lupfer, Trisha Sprague and Derrick Sprague for their active participation.
Xi Iota Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi
Xi Iota Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met Oct. 20 at the home of Alice Bell. Cookbooks were ordered to give to recently married family members. An executive board meeting will be held at the Pattonsburg Multi-Puprose Center at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 10, followed by a regular meeting. For our Thanksgiving meeting we will attend church together at the evening Thanksgiving service at the Christian Church in Pattonsburg on Nov. 21. Alice served supper and the meeting was adjourned.
