Florence McDermott

Graveside service and burial for Florence McDermott will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 23, at Brown Cemetery in Gallatin with arrangements by Bram Funeral Home, Gallatin. Memorials may be made to Comfort Care Hospice in care of the funeral home.

Florence Agnes McDermott, 75, Gallatin, died Oct. 19, 1999, at her home.

Ms. McDermott was born in San Antonio, Texas. She was raised in Denver, Colo, and attended the Sheridan High School. She received her nursing certificate from Saint Luke’s Hospital in Denver.

Ms. McDermott, a practical nurse, was employed by the Saint Joseph Hospital and Lamm Memorial Hospital at Denver, Colo., before moving to Missouri in 1972. She worked as a care- giver for seniors in Sweet Springs, Marshall and Gallatin before retiring in 1995.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Gallatin.

In 1941, she married Edward Melton in Littleton, Colo. They later divorced

Ms. McDermott was preceded in death by one brother, Albert McDermott; and two sisters, Alida Roach and Susan D. Perole.

Survivors include one son, Edward Melton, Denver, Colo.; one daughter, Connie Kresak, Thornton, Colo.; and two grandchildren.
