The third annual Daviess County Health Fair unfolds tomorrow, Oct. 14, at the Daviess County Library in Gallatin. This event, sponsored by the Daviess County Health Department, is scheduled for 8 a.m. to noon, break for lunch, and resume from 1 to 4 p.m. There is no admission charged.

Vaccine for flu shots may not be available at this year’s health fair due to state delays. SmithKline Beecham lab draws, however, will be offered for TSH at $8 and for Chem 12 and Lipid Panel at $14.

The health fair offers an opportunity to visit with representatives from the following event sponsors and participants: American Cancer Society, Preferred Family Health, Hedrick Medical Center Hospice, Community Service Center Natural Foods Cooking Classes, Green Hills Community Action Agency, Serve Link Home Care/Home Health, Heartland Regional Medical Center, Missouri Division of Family Services, Alzheimer’s Association, Grief Support Group, Access II, Health Risk Assessments, WIC, First National Bank (on Y2K issues), Missouri Highway Patrol, Gallatin Senior Center, Gallatin Police Department and Gallatin City Hall.
