Minutes of the Oct. 4 meeting reported
Daviess County Commission minutes of Oct. 4 as approved.
All members were present.
Daniel Lynn, supervisor, and James Lynn, foreman, met with the commission reporting progress on culvert replacements.
The commission discussed the planned improvements for the voting room on the first floor of the courthouse. The primary improvement will be in wiring and lighting.
The commission executed an agreement with WesTel for long-distance phone service.
Bills were audited and paid.
A letter was received from Robert Cowherd advising that the Daviess County Care Center board should transfer the assets to the County Commission. Under the terms of the liquidation agreement sent to the Attorney General’s office, the money is to be held by the county in a separate fund for health care purposes for county residents.
Frank Smith, Liberty Township landowner, met with the commission regarding road problems near his farm.
Due to the Monday holiday, the next meeting of the County Commission will be Tuesday, Oct. 12, 1999.
The personal delinquent tax list was increased by $29,690.
