COUNTY COMMISSION
Following are minutes of Sept. 27. All members were present.
Daniel Lynn, bridge supervisor, and James Lewis, foreman, met with the commission reporting on ongoing projects.
Notice was received from the State Tax Commission authorizing the county to compute taxes based on the current agricultural land values.
Jason Helton, Gallatin City Administrator, met with the commission regarding the procedures for converting the courthouse to natural gas.
Sherry Bridgeman, Central Dispatch, met with the commission reporting on current plans regarding the possibility of obtaining a weather satellite.
The commission reviewed and discussed the personnel policy, making some revisions. Completion and adoption are planned within the next month.
In the afternoon, the commission inspected roads and bridges in Benton, Salem, Marion and Jefferson townships.
The performance bond for Gallatin Sand & Construction was received for the construction of bridge number 1720006.
