Margaret Courtney Stapleton died Sept. 22, 1999, in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Mrs. Stapleton was born in Jamesport and grew up in the Jameson area. She moved to Arizona over 50 years ago.
Survivors include a daughter, Margy Brown, California; a son, Brian, California; a sister-in-law, Roberta Bailey of Independence; and a niece, Nancy Milam of Stanley, Kan..
