A steady day of rain forced cancellation of Monday’s Albany Tournament but GHS Lady Bulldog golfers managed to run their match record to 6-2 last Thursday with a 209 to 218 victory at Albany in head-to-head competition with the Lady Warriors.
Kari Dickinson shot her best score of the season, a 46, to take the medalist honor. Allison Spidle added a 53 for the Lady Bulldogs, followed by Mackenzie Riley and Kara Sullenger, each with 55, and Jamie Burnett 57.
Rebecca Stith paced Gallatin junior varsity golfers with a round of 53. Jamie Lunsford chipped in a 58, followed by Erin Sweatman 61, Lauren Henderson 63, Trine Kristiansen 65 and Roxanne Hostetler 67.
GHS golfers travel to Stanberry on Wednesday and Hamilton on Thursday. The Grand River Conference Tournament will tee off next Monday at Stanberry.
