Memorial services for Frances Hyde, a native of Coffey, were held Monday, Aug. 23, at Bram Funeral Home in Maysville. The body was cremated. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
Frances L. (Welden) Hyde, 85, Plattsburg, formerly of Maysville, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1999, at a health-care center in Plattsburg.
Mrs. Hyde was born in Coffey and was a graduate of its high school. She earned a B.S.in education from the Maryville State Teachers College.
Mrs. Hyde taught in public schools in Kahoka and Keokuk, Iowa. She was also a substitute teacher in public schools in Maysville.
She was of the Baptist faith.
In 1956, she married Darrell Hyde in Kansas City. He died in 1996.
Mrs. Hyde was also preceded in death by a son, Welden Hunt.
Survivors include two granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren.
