The Coffey branch of the Guaranty Bank and Trust will be closed at the end of October, bank officials have announced.
The Coffey branch of Guaranty Bank and Trust will be closing its doors officially on Sunday, Oct. 31, according to branch president Gary Reynolds.
Official notice was sent to patrons of the bank on July 31. Mr. Reynolds says the bank is closing for reasons of employee security and lack of customer traffic.
The employees of the Coffey branch will continue to work at the Pattonsburg branch. Mr. Reynolds says the Pattonsburg branch of Guaranty Bank and Trust continues to grow.
Officials have not yet decided what to do with the bank building at Coffey.
The bank celebrated its 102nd year of business this month.
