The Daviess County Farm Bureau will hold a hog roast during its annual meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 26, at the Lions Club Community Building in Gallatin. A brief business meeting and meal will be followed by guest speaker Leslie Holloway. Ms. Holloway is the Executive Secretary to the President of Missouri Farm Bureau.

Door prizes will be given away. Live musical entertainment will be provided by Sheryl Warren and Sisters.

Keith Sutton, president of the 296-member county organization, says you do not have to be a member of Farm Bureau to attend. Non-members, however, will be asked to pay $5 per plate to help defray costs. Farm Bureau members may attend free of charge. Dinner reservations are requested by Tuesday, Aug. 24, by calling 663-2700.
