Greetings in the name of the Lord. We had a great day as we came together to worship the Lord. We are proud to announce a new Sunday School class for young adults. Jenny Hoppenthaler is the teacher for the class. We are looking for the Lord to do a great work in this group.
After Sunday School we entered into a time of worship. After the song service, Ica Uthe sang a great hymn of the faith entitled “Because He Lives.” She was accompanied by Mary Ellen Barker. Bro. John then brought a message from Acts 1:12-14, entitled “What to Do While Waiting.”
Sunday night was a very special evening; it was “Mt. Extreme” Family Night. Vacation Bible School was great and this was the conclusion as the kids sang for their parents and grandparents and walked them through “Mt. Extreme.” We then had homemade ice cream and goodies. It would be impossible to list everyone who helped this year with VBS. However, we want each one to know how much we appreciate them using their talents and gifts of the Lord for this great time for the kids.
We were saddened this week to have to say goodbye to Robert Void Eaton, who was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday. We were honored to host the funeral service in our church on Friday. We continue to remember his wife, Annaliza, and the entire family in prayer. Annaliza and Void were married some 65 years, to God be the glory!
