N. Daviess supply lists

The supply list for North Daviess students has been released. The first day of school this year will be Wednesday, Aug. 18. School will dismiss that day at 12:25 p.m. Teacher in-service wisll be conducted Aug. 16 and 17 and after dismissal on the 18th.

Kindergarten: school box, pocket folder, Elmer’s glue (large), four #2 pencils, one package construction paper, crayons (box of eight basic colors), blunt-tip scissors (Fiskars if possible), Kleenex (two large boxes), paint shirt, backpack, gym shoes, mat or rug for naptime, one large pink eraser, markers, two glue sticks.

First and Second Grade: scissors (Fiskars if possible), crayons, ruler, school box, #2 pencils, school glue, Kleenex (two large boxes), erasers, gym shoes, paint shirt, one pocket folder, school bag, one package heavy-weight construction paper. Second grade only tablet paper and colored pencils. No Trapper Keepers.

Third and Fourth Grade: one-inch three-ring notebook, loose-leaf paper (wide line), subject divider for notebook (10), spiral notebook for music, #2 pencils (no mechanical pencils or pens), large eraser, wooden ruler (inches and centimeters), crayons, scissors (not plastic), highlighter, rubber cement, two packages of 3×5 index cards, art storage box, Kleenex (two large boxes), gym shoes, backpack or totebag, colored pencils (package of 24 or more), one package construction paper. Fourth grade only: 1 ½ inch three-ring notebook (with subject dividers for Missouri history).

Fifth and Sixth Grade: three or five subject notebook, #2 pencils, crayons or colored pencils, two pocket folders, rubber cement, gym shoes, school box, scissors (not plastic), ruler, two ink pens (blue or black), Kleenex (two large boxes), plastic magazine file holder, one package construction paper, book bag or backpack, two packages of 3×5 index cards. No Eversharp pencils or Trapper Keepers.
