Funeral services for Helen McCrary, a native of Daviess County, were held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, July 7) at the United Methodist Church, Hamilton. Burial was at Highland Cemetery at Hamilton. Arrangements were by Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Hamilton United Methodist Church, Hamilton.
Helen Elizabeth McCrary, 82, Hamilton, died July 5, 1999, at Liberty Hospital.
Mrs. McCrary was born in rural Gallatin. She lived in Hamilton most of her life. She also lived in St. Louis for six years.
Mrs. McCrary worked for the Chevrolet Company in Hamilton for 30 years. She was previously a bookkeeper for MFA in Hamilton and had worked for the government while residing in St. Louis.
Mrs. McCrary was a member of the Hamilton United Methodist Church, the Rebekah Lodge, Monday Club, and a former Sunday School and youth teacher.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo McCrary, in 1996.
Survivors include a sister, Dorothy Shaney, Hamilton, and several nieces and nephews..
