Funeral services for Ronald Sadler were held Tuesday at Bram Funeral Home in Maysville. Burial was at Amity Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the United Methodist Church, Amity, 64421, or the American Diabetes Association, in care of the funeral home.

Ronald Eugene Sadler, 40, Amity, died June 26, 1999, at Cameron Community Hospital.

Mr. Sadler was born in St. Joseph. He was reared near Amity and graduated from Maysville High School in 1977. He attended Northwest Missouri State University at Maryville and Missouri Western State College at St. Joseph where he studied drama. He was a life-long resident of Amity.

A farmer, Mr. Sadler was active in the DeKalb County Little Theater League, Maysville; the Robidoux Resident Theater and the Missouri Theater League, both of St. Joseph; and the Gallatin and Cameron Communities Theater Players. He was serving as president of the Amity Lion’s Club. Mr. Sadler was a member of the Untied Methodist Church, Amity.

In 1993, he married Patti Lee Richardson in Prairie Village, Kan. She survives of the home.

Mr. Sadler was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Emil and Lorene Sadler; and his maternal grandparents, Clyde and Christena Merritt.

Other survivors include one son, Lucas James, of the home; one sister, Marla Boyd, Maysville; and his parents, Herald and Ilah Sadler, Amity.
