Shannon Batson was chosen by her fellow delegates to the office of Mayor of Lewis City; Courtney Houghton was chosen as Circuit Judge of Barton County and was elected Supreme Court Justice; Regina Burge was elected Supreme Court Justice; and Allison Spidle was chosen as Mayor of Coontz City and appointed Commissioner of Elementary and Secondary Education at the 58th session of Missouri Girls State which concluded June 26.
Approximately 750 students attended the Girls State program, sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary, Department of Missouri.
